MARTIN & SERVERA, Sweden’s leading restaurant and catering specialist

"This summer, we were able to maintain a good indoor climate for the first time! With the NEXT dehumidifiers in place, I'm not worried about how the indoor climate will be over the summer!"

Background

During much of the year, humid air penetrates cold storage facilities even in northern Sweden. Moisture that condenses on cold surfaces can lead to slip accidents and other incidents, as well as damage to packaging and unnecessary ice formation on cooling units.

AIRWATERGREEN SOLUTION

Over the summer, six REX dehumidifiers placed around the warehouse handled the moisture brought in by warm air penetrating the space. Now, two NEXT units have been installed, offering significantly higher total capacity and lower electricity consumption per kg of water removed from the air.

Results

In the cold storage facility, condensation on cold surfaces can now be prevented, eliminating a workplace hazard that previously posed risks of accidents and damage to goods and property.

Production and storage of beer, Spain

"The results were so positive that the production plant will be equipped with 7 NEXT dehumidifiers by the end of 2024"

Background

For a large part of the year, humid air enters the refrigerated premises used for the production and storage of beer at the various stages of production. Moisture condenses on cold surfaces and can lead to corrosion, mold and even slipping accidents.

Therefore, it is good to remove the water from the air with a dehumidifier that works efficiently at the low temperatures of a cold store where the cold surfaces are kept at 3-4°C.

Airwatergreen approach

A test was carried out with 2 NEXT to assess the moisture load in the premises. How much moisture was generated inside the premises and how much moisture penetrates from outside.

This is to assess the actual capacity needs.

Outcome

Based on this verification, additional NEXT machines were installed for a total of 7, distributed on the two premises. The NEXT machines are controlled based on data from external dew point sensors and now maintain an optimal climate to avoid condensation on the cold surfaces of the tanks.

Previously, a number of desiccant dehumidifiers were used, which meant very high energy consumption. In the production room, condensation on the cold surfaces can now be avoided at a drastically lower energy consumption.

The right solution for your needs

Good in ALL climates

Fully integrable

Easy to install

Reduced costs

It is possible to assess how much moisture needs to be removed from or added to the air to maintain a desired humidity level. The required capacity can vary greatly between different spaces. FLEX is suitable for smaller areas with low moisture loads, REX is ideal for larger spaces, and NEXT is designed to handle very large air volumes with high moisture levels.

NEXT can be operational within just one hour, allowing for a quick on-site test of the solution to accurately determine specific needs and optimize performance.

Airwatergreen’s products provide efficient dehumidification at low temperatures with very low electricity and power consumption. Additionally, they are easy to install and designed for seamless integration and remote control through the proprietary cloud-based AWG Climate Control System.
