Construction process
Dehumidification during the process of building new properties currently consumes a lot of energy.
Energy consumption divided by two
It is important to reduce the moisture level in concrete and other materials used so that moisture damage does not occur during construction or later. Today, fan heaters and dehumidifiers are often used, which not only consume a lot of energy but also often send supplied energy out of the building. That’s feeding the crows!
Airwatergreen dehumidification technology more than halves the energy consumption of dehumidification during the construction process. As soon as window and door openings are covered, dehumidification can start. No heating of the property is necessary as our dehumidifiers are just as energy efficient at low temperatures. This makes it possible to save energy by keeping a lower temperature during construction and also to halve the energy consumption of the dehumidifiers themselves compared to traditional technology.
Since the dehumidifiers are mobile/portable, it is possible to easily redistribute the dehumidification during the project in case of changes in the moisture load from e.g. casting or filling.
A number of projects have been carried out with our large REX dehumidifier and the smaller FLEX. Reduced heating can also provide a better climate to work in! When passing through our dehumidifiers, the air is also filtered.
More effective dehumidification through efficient evaporation
To create a moisture-driving difference in vapor pressure, we drive our dehumidifiers towards a lower relative humidity level, typically 40% RH. This ensures effective dehumidification even at low temperatures.
This is possible because our dehumidification technology is equally effective at low moisture levels and at low temperatures.
How does dehumidification work step by step:
- Airwatergreen dehumidifiers are equally effective at low relative humidity levels and equally effective at all temperatures!
- Airwatergreen dehumidifiers are very easy to install as they do not require any ventilation pipes.
- Lift or roll the dehumidifier into place, lay a hose to the nearest floor drain/outlet and connect the power! Dry air is produced directly at the machine and the condensate is easily drained into the nearest floor drain.
All our dehumidifiers can be easily connected for control but also collection of information from the dehumidifiers’ sensors so that you can follow the reduction of the moisture level over time without having to visit the premises.
Product choice for construction process
- Office buildings: Properties with open floor areas are best handled with our larger REX dehumidifier. The dehumidifier can then be placed centrally or distributed to suitable locations on the floor surface per floor as moisture is quickly distributed in the air.
- Apartment buildings: Our smaller dehumidifier(FLEX) can be placed in each apartment and moved around as the construction process progresses. The condensate is led down the nearest floor drain. Dehumidification of the individual apartments can be supplemented by a centrally located larger dehumidifier (REX) in, for example, the stairwell.
